RELATED: Every Digimon in Digimon Survive (& How to Befriend Them)

First encountered during Part 4 of Digimon Survive, Guardromon is one of the most recognizable Machine Digimon in the series and a decent shout for those looking to add a bit of extra muscle to their team. It’s incredibly bulky too, which is one of several reasons why so many players jump at the opportunity to befriend Guardromon when given the opportunity to do so.

How to Befriend Guardromon in Digimon Survive

Recruiting Guardromon is just like befriending any other Digimon in Digimon Survive. To do so, players will need to select the Talk option and then choose Guardromon from the Foes list in order to engage it in conversation. Upon doing so, they’ll be faced with a trio of questions and statements and will need to respond to each one. Choosing the best response from the four provided will fill two segments of the bar above Guardromon’s head, with players needing to have filled three or more by the end of the conversation in order to be able to ask the Digimon to become their friend.

With it being a machine and all, it’s actually somewhat easy to predict the best responses to Guardromon’s questions and statements, which are the same as those used by the likes of Betamon. Like any robot, Guardromon is a slave to its programming and so will not respond well to talk of emotions. The fact that its primary purpose is to guard and follow orders also plays a part in the conversation, with all but one of the best responses tying into these themes and ideas. That said, those who’d rather just look at a list of the best Guardromon responses rather than figuring things out for themselves can find what they need in the table below.

Where to Find Guardromon in Digimon Survive

Guardromon can be encountered in a few different places, though first shows up towards the end of Part 4 of Digimon Survive. Players will find it at the Free Battle area at the amusement park, though only once the park is invaded by evil forces. From this point onward, it becomes somewhat common, at least when compared to Angemon and some of the game’s other rare Digimon.

Digimon Survive is available on PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
