RELATED: Every Digimon in Digimon Survive (& How to Befriend Them)

Patamon may not be the hardest-hitting Digimon in Digimon Survive, nor does it offer much in the way of attack range or movement speed. However, its solid stats across the board make it a pretty decent all-rounder and a worthwhile addition to any team should players get the opportunity to recruit it. To successfully befriend Patamon, however, they’ll first need to respond to a few of its questions and statements, scoring three or more points in the process.

How to Befriend Patamon in Digimon Survive

In order to befriend Patamon, players will first need to encounter it in a Free Battle and then engage it in conversation by selecting the Talk option. Much like when befriending other Digimon in Digimon Survive, players will need to respond to three questions or statements, with the best possible responses scoring two points a piece. If players have three or more points by the end of the conversation, they’ll have a chance to ask Patamon to become friends, with the likelihood of success determined by the player’s Karma.

Despite having the same questions and statements as Biyomon, Patamon’s best responses couldn’t be more different than the little pink bird’s. Rather than valuing honesty above all else, Patamon values itself more highly than others, though is still loyal to its friends when needed. Simplicity also works much better when responding to Patamon’s questions and statements, as evidenced by the best Patamon responses in the table below.

Where to Find Patamon in Digimon Survive

Patamon will start showing up from Part 4 onward, with players able to find the cute little flying mammal in the Free Battle areas in both the school and Forest areas. It’s not particularly common in either but should show up with enough consecutive battles. To speed up the process, players can simply talk to other Digimon that they encounter and ask for items, which should also net them a decent supply of bandages and even a little EXP.

Digimon Survive is available on PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
