Revealed in a forum Q&A on ResetEra, DICE confirmed that the game won’t support 120Hz for current-generation consoles when it launches, but that it’s something that the studio is interested in “potentially” exploring post-launch. The reason that DICE cites for not including the feature is that Battlefield 2042 will be “hammering the CPUs with 128 players quite severely” and that the jump in hardware required to run the game at 120 FPS as opposed to 60 is significant....

Now, we have the Close Quarters, Armored Kill and End Game DLC packs coming later this year for BF3, but not until June. So, what’s the hold up? Why is the DLC coming out 7-8 months after launch when Call of Duty has monthly content drops? And why are the updates taking so long? Speaking with Joystiq at GDC last week, DICE general manager Karl-Magnus Troedsson explains the timing and their goals with Battlefield 3’s DLC and hints that they’re working on other things which may or may not have limited their ability to focus on BF3....

The death of human teenagers would be far more disturbing than the death of Digimon, so putting the digital monsters at risk might feel redundant....
